A Review of Korean ACT and Its Psychological Implication

Abstract
This study reviews Korean ACT-related articles and makes its psychological implications. The Korean ACT-related researches were Jae Chun Ryu(2008), Yu Ra Kim(2009) and Myung Ja Oh(2009). Young Hee Kim(2012)"s research(Effectiveness of Modified ACT program for people with severe mental illness) was produced as Korean ACT by literature review, health professionals" evaluation, pilot study and feedback. Korean Act faithfully and validly followed the core principles of original Act, and the people with severe mental illess participatiing in ACT program showed more symptom reduction, enhanced social function and life satisfaction. The psychological implications of ACT were psychologist"s role as public mental health professionals in ACT, participation in ACT as clinical psychologist and addiction expert et al. Three is the urgent need for producing and managing new paradigm development like ACT in clinical, counseling, health psychology. The limitation and future research orientation were discussed.
